I am an aspiring cinematographer based in the greater Hartford area. In May 2022, I graduated with my BFA from the University of Connecticut’s Digital Media and Design program, with a concentration in Digital Film/Video Production. Now I work as the Assistant Director of Digital Communications at The Loomis Chaffee School. My most recent work includes a documentary I shot about my trip back to South Africa where I documented spending a Christmas together with my family for the first time in six years. The trip was all about remembering my grandmother, rediscovering my ties with my grandfather, my family, and a country that captivated my heart. I’m also currently producing two short narrative films.
My passion for film started at a very young age. I was constantly producing short films with my siblings and spent hours on YouTube trying to learn how to animate special effects into my videos. When I turned 16, I started freelancing, which propelled my skills to the next level. I aspire to work in a field where I am encouraged to learn new things, be innovative, and constantly step out of my comfort zone. That is why I love film. It combines my passions and gives me a creative outlet that allows me to inspire others. I love creating beautiful images and letting stories come to life through my work. Through my freelance work, I have been able to branch out into many different areas which have resulted in skills and experience in a wide variety of areas.
I have filmed for many nonprofit organizations, small businesses, and individual customers. Although I love working in New England, I have also been extremely fortunate to have had opportunities to film in unique places around the world including Mexico, the Caribbean, and South Africa. Other projects have allowed me to work with local businesses to produce content that aired on major broadcast networks like CBS WFSB Channel 3. I have also produced short films, documentaries, personal testimonial interviews, training videos, and other promotional pieces for businesses.
Thank you!
